- Luxury fleets – with cars worth six figures – are available from companies including Enterprise, Hertz, Sixt and Avis
- Porsche Boxster S starts from as little as £190 per day but others like Rolls Royce Phantom costs several thousand
- Sixt has has over 100 luxury saloons, convertibles and coupes, including several Maserati and Porsche models
It’s easy to be spoilt for choice when it comes to car rentals with styles that range from saloon cars to 4x4s and everything in between.
But you might be surprised to learn that your every-day car rental agency has a supercar fleet that goes way beyond your regular Ford Focus or even Mercedes-Benz.
In fact, some of these agencies are offering dream cars like Porsches, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins for as little as £190 per day.
Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise
Several car rental agencies offer an ultra-luxury fleet in addition to their regular offering. The Lamborghini Gallardo, similar to the one above, is one of the cars available for hire through Enterprise
Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise was founded in 2006 and now features a large collection of supercars including the Bentley Continental GT similar to the model above
Another vehicle on the fleet is the Porsche Boxster S, similar to the one pictured, which starts from just £190 per day through Enterprise
The cars are available at select destinations in the UK, USA, Canada and Switzerland. In the UK, the cars can be delivered in a special truck as pictured above
The Enterprise luxury service was founded in 2006 and has now expanded to more than 30 locations in the UK, USA, Canada and Switzerland.
When you open up the page for the Exotic Car Collection micro-site, you’re immediately met with the sumptuous leather seats of a Bentley.
A quick browse through the site and you’ll stumble upon various models of Porsche, Lamborghini, Maserati and Ferrari.
The prices range from a Porsche Boxster S for £190 per day to £1,100 for the Lamborghini Huracan.
And their latest addition is a fleet of Aston Martins, with the DB9 and Rapide S being offered, though only in the USA.
For those that can’t pick up the car, there is also a delivery service that will bring the vehicle to you
If you’re a member of the Enterprise Plus loyalty scheme however, you will be disappointed to learn that these rentals are not included.
Hertz Dream Collection
The Aston Martin DB9 and the DB9 Volante, like the one featured, are both available in the UK and in Italy through Hertz. Their cars are available in several locations across Europe, including Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands though the cars vary according to the location
Another vehicle in Hertz’s Dream Collection is the Bentley Flying Spur, like the one pictured above, which is only available in the UK
One of the more luxurious vehicles on offer at Hertz is the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead similar to the one above. A regular Rolls Royce Phantom will set you back £2,500 for a 24-hour rental though the day rate falls the longer you hire it
Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, Tesla and Porsche are all in the fleet of cars available for rent at Hertz.
It’s the most widely available service in Europe out of the rental agencies that MailOnline Travel has looked at with locations in Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and the UK.
Those in the USA won’t be missing out either as the company also has supercars there.
Perhaps one of the most impressive models in the fleet is the Rolls Royce Phantom, which costs more than £300,000 to buy. But if you’re looking to hire it, the luxurious runner will set you back £2,500 for 24 hours.
You can also try out other models from Rolls Royce as well, including the Ghost, Wraith, Dawn and Phantom Drophead.
However, if you’re less picky about which VIP car you opt for, prices start from £290 per day.
The added bonus is that you will be able to collect Gold Plus Rewards points, although you can’t redeem them against the cost of hiring out the supercars.
Sixt Luxury Cars
Sixt has one of the smallest collections of supercars out of the firms MailOnline Travel looked at. But among them is the Maserati Ghibili, similar to the one pictured above
Sixt also offers the Maserati Quattroporte, like the one pictured above. However, only drivers who are over 30 and who have held their license for at least three years will be able to hire the car
Out of the four rental services MailOnline Travel looked at, Sixt had one of the smallest supercar fleets as they only launched the luxury branch of their service last year.
However, the company’s current selection has over 100 luxury saloons, convertibles and coupes, including several models of Maserati and Porsche.
They also have vehicles available in France, Spain and Germany, where the country’s headquarters are based.
Within the UK, the cars are only available in London, at Heathrow Airport and inside the Hilton Park Lane, though the cars can also be sourced through Golden Key concierges.
Sixt told MailOnline Travel that its service is ‘flexible and depending on availability and demand’, which means that there’s no starting guide price for the rentals.
What’s more, only drivers who are over 30 and who have held their license for at least three years will be able to hire the car.
But if you’re already a member of the Sixt loyalty scheme, you will at least be able to earn rewards through the rental.
Variations of Jaguar’s F-Type, like the one above and different models of Mercedes make up the bulk of the supercar offering from Avis
One of the latest models to be added to the collection is the Porsche 911 Carrera S, like the one pictured above
Variations of the Jaguar F-Type and different models of Mercedes make up the bulk of the supercar offering from Avis in the UK.
Among its Prestige fleet there’s also the Porsche 911 Carrera S and Porsche 911 Targa 4.
There are several restrictions, however.
For example, for the Porsche 911 Carrera S, drivers will need to be over 30 and have two credit cards to their name.
And although a typical 24-hour rental starts from around £323, there’s a deposit of £3,000.
For those travelling further afield, Avis also has Prestige branches in Germany, Spain and France with different vehicles available.
